What we leave behind
File this under creepy: we paddled across the lake to a camp abandoned nearly 20 years ago. It was run by the Catholic Church for years before being suddenly sold in the late 1990s. These pictures reflect how the camp appears to be frozen in time, but there are signs that Mother Nature has started to reclaim her woodland.
Heather Sealey, originally from Manitoba, holds a Master’s degree in environmental geochemistry but for a time, struggled to find work. When the previous owners of Itsy-Bitsy Yarn Store put it up for sale to fulfilled their own dream of purchasing a sailboat, Sealey jumped at the chance to pursue yarn.
